This project seeks to acknowledge and reward members with excellent performance in their academic career. In acknowledging members’ works and contributions, prizes in a form of cash, kind, plaques, certificate and winners could be featured on the website and all social media handles. This will encourage, recognize and motivate members to continue fostering forward for excellence.

Subcommittees

University Application and Internship

The University Application and Internship Application Committee is a sub-committee under NUGS-China Academic Committee. The sub-committee has a membership of () people. The committee is responsible for;
 Educating students on how to apply for scholarships for schools in China.
 Make partnership with companies and hospitals to create internship opportunities for Ghanaian students in China and out of China.
 The committee also promote programs such as
 Develop and maintain Scholarships, Internships and Exchange programs database of opportunities for members social benefit.

Competitions and Excellence Awards

The Competition and Excellence Awards (CEA) committee is a sub-committee under NUGS-China Academic Committee. The sub-committee has a membership of () people. The committee is responsible for organizing, supervising, and coordinating intra campuses, inter chapter, and international quiz competitions in the Union.
The sub-committee is also responsible for receiving and reviewing applications for Excellence Awards (EA) and make recommendations to the Academic Committee.
The Sub-committee has two main objectives:
 To identify and honor individual NUGS members for their academic achievements however little it may be in their respective fields of study here in China once the selection criteria are met.
 To create competitive interactive sessions for members through inter-schools, inter-chapters, and international quiz competitions aimed at fostering strong academic engagements and collaboration among members.
 Develop a database of various academic and socio-economic competition opportunities that members can take advantage of.

Program and Events/Outreach to Professional and Academic Bodies

The Program and Events/Outreach to Professional and Academic Bodies Committee is a sub-committee under NUGS-China Academic Committee. The sub-committee has a membership of () people. The committee is responsible for organizing educative programs and events to help members improve in their academic. The committee is also responsible for
The aims and objectives of this sub-committee;
 Organizing seminars and orientation for members in various academic fields.
 Organizing and educating students on job opportunities in Ghana, China and other countries.
 Regularly inviting resource personnels in various fields of life in enriching the socio-economic development of members.
 Reaching out to alumni to bridge the gap and put together
 Develop and online platform on the NUGS-China website, that regularly post job opportunites for members to access

Research and Development

The Research and Development Sub-Committee under the NUGS-China Academic Committee provides oversight and research direction focusing on innovation and creativity in undertaking cutting-edge research relating to Ghana’s and global development priorities and aspirations.
 The Sub-committee is responsible for coordinating all matters relating to research and research uptake, overseeing, and synchronizing undergraduate and postgraduate thesis writing across campuses in the Union.
 The sub-committee further helps direct the future of an academically and policy-relevant Union through providing essential information and state-of-the-art ideas that support strategic decision-making.
 It also broadly ensures that the research undertaken by members of the Union inspires innovation and introduce new products, inventions, patents and services that stimulate sustainable development in Ghana and beyond.
 The Committee shall also embark on curriculum development for the various disciplines.
 Develop a think tank to birth the NUGS-China lab program
 To strengthen the academic committees of various chapter. Also, serving as a liason between the national academic committee and chapter academic committees
 Establishing academic research collaborations.

Secretarial and page administrators committee

The Secretarial and page administrators sub-committee a sub-committee under NUGS-China Academic Committee. The sub-committee has a membership of () people; 2 people for each page. The committee is responsible for helping with the dissemination of information on the pages. The committee is also responsible for policing the page and keeping it active and interactive.
The aims and objectives of the sub-committee are as follows:
 Information dissemination
 Records, archives, report on all academic issues of the Union
 Serves as a trainer and liason between group administrators
 Maintain all academic related social media handles like LinkedIn, WeChat, and others.
 Page interactions and connection amongst members

Academic Conference and Publishing

The Academic Conference and Publishing committee is a sub-committee under NUGS-China Academic Committee. The committee is responsible for planning and organizing the major Academic Conference of the Union, as well as, researching and submitting a comprehensive proposal on a NUGS-China Journal.
The main objectives of the Sub-Committee are:
 Plan and organize an Academic Conference
 Research on NUGS-China Journal
 Seek partnership with journals to publish members’ works and papers submitted for the academic conference in the interim
 Regularly, communicating of conferences to members. (Creating an RSS online feed to regularlly update members on various conferences globally)

Academic and Career Counselors

The committee is made up of experts in various fields who will serve as counselors and mentors for students.
The objectives of the sub-committee include:
 Serve as an advisory capacity to students
 Provide academic guidance
 Develop an electronic system for maintaining and addressing members academic counseling needs.
