On Saturday, June 13, 2026, NUGS Hangzhou Chapter organized the Shoufei Pump Industry Cup: International Volunteers VS Deqing Football Friendly Match, bringing together over 60 African students from 15 nations for a day of professional development, cultural exchange, and strategic partnership.
A Pan-African Moment
Students from Ghana, Nigeria, Lesotho, Congo, South Africa, Rwanda, Botswana, Kenya, Morocco, Cameroon, DRC, Somalia, Zambia, Ivory Coast, Gabon, and Djibouti converged in Deqing to participate in an event that transcended sport and became a celebration of African unity and excellence.

The day began at SHOUFEI Co. Ltd (Zhejiang Shoufei Pump Co., Ltd.), a global manufacturing leader specializing in stainless steel centrifugal pumps. Participants toured the company’s state-of-the-art headquarters and witnessed firsthand how innovation and quality create competitive advantage in global markets.
Founded in 2018, SHOUFEI has grown to serve markets across Europe, Australia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. The company’s SF series pumps represent a paradigm shift in efficiency—achieving 30% improvement in performance while reducing energy consumption by the same margin. Following the company tour, students gathered on Deqing’s football grounds for a friendly match that ended in a spirited 2:2 draw.
