Divine Setsofia is a young energetic man with youthful exuberance who graduated with master degree in economics from Zhejiang University of Science and Technology. He is selfless and principled individual who always fight for the interest of others.
Divine has a charming personality with good interpersonal and communication skills who always exhibit can do spirit in every facet of his life. His greatest priority in life is to seek for the interest of people who are less privilege and vulnerable in the society. He believes in these core values such as integrity, equity, transparency and accountability.
Divine has two publications in the area of Economics and his research interest is directed towards macroeconomics, monetary economics, economic theory and exchange rates. He is a young economist who is interested in formulating economic policies that create an enabling environment for the ordinary person to have a decent life and bridging the gap between the poor and the rich. However, he is being a speaker in conferences discussing the fundamental problem confronting the African continent.
He has held several leadership portfolios including The President of NUGS Hangzhou- 2019/2020 & 2020/2021 academic years, Course Monitor in the School of Economics and Management-Zust, Disciplinary Committee Chairman-Odorgonno SHS, etc. He is also a product of Odorgonno SHS, University of Ghana and Zhejiang University of Science and Technology offered General Arts, Economics and Geography and Economics respectively. Also, he has received a lot of laurels such as:
- Overall Best International Students for 2019-2020 Academic Year.
- Won Gold medal in a national competition of Entrepreneurship and Innovation organized by the Chinese Government.
- First-class Outstanding Degree Students Scholarship of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology in the 2019/2020 Academic year
- Chinese Government Outstanding International Student Scholarship in the year of 2019.
- Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship in the 2018/2019 academic Year
His greatest objective is to uphold his values in life and utilizing the knowledge gained in economics to contribute to policy direction to the benefit of humanity. He aspires to be a renowned economist and leader with difference. Divine is a football fun and his favorite two clubs in the world are Manchester united and Accra Hearts of Oak and his football icon is Cristiano Ronaldo.
