The NUGS Jiujiang Chapter was inaugurated in the year 2018 by then General secretary of NUGS China where Dr. Daniel Akwetey was elected as the President and his vice Dr. Esther Serwaa Berko together with 4 other executives.

The chapter’s  populace then was 38 deduce to 21 Ghanaian students now, 19 being students of Jiujiang university (the mother chapter )and the remaining from a nearby sister city Ji’an.

In the early months of 2019 a new set of Jiujiang NUGS executive were sworn in, the President in the person of Dr. Afful Opoku and his Vice Dr. Mensah Angela Osei together with 7 other executives,one from a sister city  (Ji’an) and a Provincial Coordinate for the Jiangxi province.
