Collins is a PhD student majoring in Software Engineering at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. His expertise and research areas include Blockchain Technology, IoT, Smart City , Systems Engineering and Machine Learning.
Collins has been in the technology field for more than 9 years. He has been a high performing Systems Administrator. He began his career in the corporate institution as an IT Support Officer. He worked with Tin-Ifa Ghana, Marie Stopes International, Accra-Ghana, Air-Liquide Ghana and PBC Limited Accra-Ghana. He further served in the telecommunications field as a Systems and Network Engineer for Comsys Ghana Limited, one of the best Enterprise Solutions Provider and Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Ghana.
Collins is highly skilled in software development, systems engineering, Project management from development to production levels. He has gained mastery in troubleshooting skills and critical problem solving techniques.
As a strong advocate for student politics and activism, Collins has served in several positions among which include; Electoral Commission Member 2018/19 (NUGS-Chengdu), Electoral Commission Chairman for 2018/19 and 2019/20 administrations (NUGS-Chengdu). He also served as the Head of Technical Team for the Media and Publicity Committee(NUGS-China).
As a passion driven person, his love for technology and problem solving drew him to contribute his quota to the technical advancement in the activities of NUGS-China. He played a major role in making NUGS-China go electronic. This role led to the major technological advancement in the history of NUGS-China during the 2019/2020 administration. Although his passion driven life has been a struggle sometimes, his hard work, determination, and enthusiasm for education and community service has brought him this far.
He is currently the National President of NUGS-China. Collins believes the key elements to leadership success is by making sure that you know your needs, understanding the situation you are in, and assessing your strengths and areas where there are opportunities for growth carefully. It is by this that he goes with the term ‘IT IS DOABLE‘.
For this reason, he says for a successful leadership, it is time to make reflections on our ability to gain resources and to mobilize ourselves and people towards accomplishing the goals we desire to see.
