AFBA 2025 is an international academic and research conference organized by NUGS-CHINA. It serves as a dynamic forum that brings together researchers across various disciplines to deliberate on pressing global and regional issues. This year’s conference highlights critical themes relevant to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing particularly on the unification of Africa into the global landscape through innovation, governance, and education.
The conference theme, “Driving Inclusive Growth through Innovation, Sustainable Governance, and Transformative Education,” addresses the necessity of integrating innovative practices and sustainable governance frameworks to ensure inclusive development. Researchers, industry practitioners, educators, policymakers, and thought leaders will converge to explore and propose practical solutions and actionable strategies.

- Track 02: Environment and Agriculture
Sustainable agricultural practices, climate-smart agriculture, governance frameworks, and innovative technologies for environmental conservation.

Engineering innovations addressing social, economic, and environmental challenges aimed at promoting inclusive and sustainable development.
- Track 04: Transformative Education Models
Educational practices, policies, and innovative models enhancing inclusivity, critical thinking, and adaptability in contemporary education systems.
- Track 05: Governance and Ethical Leadership
Effective governance frameworks and ethical leadership practices supporting sustainable growth and societal resilience.
- Track 06: Digital Innovation for Sustainable Development
Digital strategies, platforms, and innovations facilitating sustainable economic and social growth.
- Track 07: Innovative Financial Solutions
Exploring alternative financing mechanisms and innovative financial models supporting inclusive growth and sustainable development.
- Track 08: Media, Marketing, and Inclusive Branding
Strategies for leveraging media and marketing to promote inclusive branding, societal change, and sustainable business practices.
- Track 09: Human Capital and Capacity Building
The role of education and continuous professional development in building resilient human capital capable of addressing evolving market and societal needs.
- Track 10: Regional Integration for Economic Inclusivity
Opportunities and challenges in regional economic integration aimed at achieving inclusive economic prosperity.
- Track 11: Master & PhD Mock Defence
An opportunity for master’s and PhD final-year students to practice their final thesis defence and get feedback on how to perfect their final presentation.
Submission Guidelines
Participants are invited to submit extended abstracts aligning with the theme and thematic areas above. Accepted abstracts will be published in a conference abstract book and featured on the conference/NUGS website.
Extended Abstract Requirements:
- Length: 1,500 – 2,000 words (2-5 pages, including references, tables, figures)
- Format: 12-point Times New Roman, single-spaced, 1-inch margins, page numbers at bottom right
Extended Abstract Structure:
1. Title of the paper
2. Author(s) full names, affiliations, and email addresses
3. Introduction (purpose, scope, brief literature review, and objectives)
4. Methodology (clear and detailed description)
5. Findings/Results (explicit descriptions, tables, figures)
6. Conclusions (key insights, implications, recommendations)
7. References (APA 7th Style)
